It has a kludge to make it work with all types of busmice,
it echos all mouse moves to the fifo /dev/gpmdata, if started up using
-R . If you use /dev/gpmdata as mouse deivice and MouseSystems as
Protocol type XF86Config (_not_ the protocol of your mouse), it
works quite well.
I xould recommend to install this flag automatically if a busmouse or 
ps/2 mouse is used. Anyway, I haven't any problems with running
both xdm and gpm using a ps/2 mouse, but I'm running a completly
ELFified self-compiled debian system (though with the latest packages), so 
there might be major differences.
