who should port these games? the upstream maintaintainers? maybe but
what if they are not developing the game anymore? the debian
maintainers? i dont think that's appropriate to ask that, as then even
more burden will fall on them (both keeping the package up to
standards *and* maintain the py3k port). so whos left? it appears
nobody.

No. with this approach, nobody will do anything about py2removal and
we're gonna keep python2 around forever. you had more than a year,
nothing happen, it's time to be objective and realize there wont be a
savior for fretsonfire and it's time for Debian to drop it.

no we dont. at some point in the next months the distribution will
freeze and we wont be able to make substantial progress.

really? what about all the reverse dependencies that need to be kept
in the archive *just* for this antique softwares to remain usable? I,
for example, have 2 packages i cant remove because of fretsonfire; at
some point i'll have to make a decision, and most likely i'll favor my
own packages over a relic from 10+ years ago.

OMG LOL! did you look at the sourceforge page? there are literally
hundreds of bug reports and feature requests. year "feature complete".

i sincerely hope this is not meant for me.

Please revisit your position to make the Debian distribution progress
towards the py2removal goal: dont be an obstacle, help instead.
