Hello Debian Games Team,
I've packaged zdoom for Debian and would like to ask if someone would like
to have a look at the package and eventually upload it for me (I've already asked on mentors and
they told me to ask you directly):
* Package name : zdoom
Version : 2.5.0-2
Upstream Author : Randy Heit <firstname.lastname@example.org>
* URL : http://zdoom.org
* License : ZDoom may be used and distributed free of charge.
Section : contrib/games
It builds these binary packages:
zdoom - Enhanced Doom engine
The package appears to be lintian clean.
The upload would fix these bugs: 609352, 609349
My motivation for maintaining this package is:
The zdoom-engine is capable of running some doom style games that
the prboom-engine can not (like heretic, hexen and strife).
I've put it in contrib because it depends on a non-free library from
www.fmod.org which will be downloaded on the fly during the build process.
The package can be found on mentors.debian.net:
- URL: http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/contrib/z/zdoom
- Source repository: deb-src http://mentors.debian.net/debian unstable main contrib non-free
- dget http://mentors.debian.net/debian/pool/contrib/z/zdoom/zdoom_2.5.0-2.dsc
Thanks for any feedback!
