Introducing bullet - a 3D physics library
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
Hash: SHA1
Hello,
I have committed bullet to SVN (ITP: #476284).
It is lintian clean and should work on all architectures. [1]
* Package name : bullet
Version : 2.70-1
Upstream Author : Erwin Coumans
* URL : http://www.bulletphysics.com
* License : Zlib
Programing Language: C / C++
It builds two binary packages:
libbullet-demo - a 3D physics library - demos
libbullet-dev - a 3D physics library - development files
Its upstream does not support shared libraries, so there is no
"libbullet" package currently.
Long description:
Bullet is a professional open source multi-threaded 3D Collision
Detection and Rigid Body Dynamics Library.
.
The library is being used by several professional game developers on
PC, PlayStation 3, XBox 360 and Nintendo Wii.
.
Bullet is native part of Blender 3D modeler and it supports COLLADA
Physics file format.
This library is also useful for CEL (ITP: #282666).
Howto test it:
Build it and execute "AllBulletDemos"
Problem:
I only wrote a simple copyright file. I plan to update it to
machine-readable format, but it is very time-consuming.
If anyone is satisfied with the copyright file, I think it is good
enough to be uploaded to Sid.
Kind regards
Wen-Yen Chuang
[1] It is lintian clean for i386 deb files.
There is one lintian error for amd64 deb files:
"E: libbullet-demo: depends-on-obsolete-package depends: xlibmesa-gl"
It is because an additional dependency "xlibmesa-gl | libgl1" on
amd64, which is not found on i386 deb files.
You do not need xlibmesa-gl because libgl1-mesa-glx provides libgl1.
There is also four lintian errors/warnings for .dsc file:
"E: bullet source: outdated-autotools-helper-file
Extras/LibXML/config.sub 2003-06-18
W: bullet source: configure-generated-file-in-source
Extras/LibXML/config.status
W: bullet source: configure-generated-file-in-source
Extras/LibXML/config.log
E: bullet source: outdated-autotools-helper-file
Extras/LibXML/config.guess 2003-06-17"
