I think that would be bloody premature and if this idiocy persists
I'll stop contributing to games-thumbnails altogether.

So far, there's no real evidence that we have genuine problem here
and the only one posting in this thread who is a lawyer considers it
unproblematic.

Just fix debian/copyright to add a note that people should consult
the relevant packages' copyright file if the consider resuing the data,
but don't "fix" artificial problems.
