it is a policy violation for two packages to share a conffile in /etc and not
conflict with each other. Lynx-ssl conflicts with lynx but not the other way
around. Not sure if this is the cause or not. Rather than submit a bug I
would recommend you simply mail the maintainer and ask.

/var/spool/lpd is a shared directory so this should be ok policy wise. Did
dpkg want to remove the directory or was this done by the maintainer's scripts?
