hurd uses 3.1 as the default compiler, look at the bug reports for
3.1, but you won't get any testing, if you don't use it. Report bugs
in gcc-3.1 NOW, so that they can be fixed in a 3.1.x
release. regressions compared to 2.95 and 3.0 have high priority
upstream, so it's likely they can be fixed in 3.1.x.
