/proc/pci interface (or so /var/log/messages said)

Ok, but cat doesn't work by itself. You know, there is a program calling it.
You've got to find out what program is that, and file a bug against it, not
against 'general', please. Besides, I don't think the fact that a program uses
/proc/pci is a reason for a bug, unless we're in 2020 and /proc/pci has
been effectively thrown away.
