How do you get to say that? I was sure you could, but it doesn't seem
to be listed in the dselect help.

In any event, Santiago Vila has a list of which packages in optional
conflict with out packages in optional and similar priority issues at
http://ftp-master.debian.org/~sanvila/; ftpmaster are gradually trying
to go through these and fix them.
