I placed here[1] the pngs in others resolutions (1280x800, 1280x1024, 1400x1050, 1440x900, 1600x1200, 1680x1050, 1920x1200).

we can limit background provided (as said one can scale background).
so let's focus on popular aspect ratio:
- 4:3 => 1600x1200
- 16:10 => 1680x1050

we can skip not popular or rare aspect ratio like 15:10.
I guess 5:4 (1280x1024) can be skipped too.
It isn't far from 4:3 in aspect ratio and easy to scale background.
