Which is a non-trivial matter. It's a lot of metadata, repeated in
various places (in default config).

It also changes how many alternative packages users are exposed to if
they run a package installer. That could be an important goal of a
blend or derivative.

So yes, one has to be clear what is meant by 'lighter'. Fewer
packages, simpler/reduced user choices, smaller packages,
lower-resources packages. They all involve different tradeoffs.
