IMHO it also depends from the differences between Linex and Debian. I'm
always in favour of keeping the difference as small as possible which
means you should probably package what you are using and make these
packages official to push them directly under control of Debian release
team. This will make upgrades as smooth as possible and your will
notice that following Debian stable or not will be no question any more
in future.
