I've implemented a version of this fix, which I'll be putting on bugs.debian.org in the near future, but I wanted to make sure that it resolved the issue for you. http://bugs.donarmstrong.com/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=286115;mbox=yes;mboxstat=yes will show the bug with a status message. I'll probably also add a link to it on the bugreport.cgi page, but I haven't done that yet. Currently (as you can see below) it's set up as a message to control, where you can set everything the way that you want it, and then send it out.
