Plenty to choose from. QT has a handwriting interface similiar to WinCE. How it compares I don't know as I wiped WinCE on day one. For X there are a couple different recognizers, 'moded' like Palm's Graffiti (ie you have a control stroke for caps, control, etc.) and 'non-moded' which is, well, modeless. The nice part: not only is it opensource so you can change the strokes, you can do it by editing the stroke file. :)
