Not my intent to give that impression at all.  I know you have the
best of intentions, but the phrasing of the question posed lead the TC
in a very specific high controversy direction.

I think it would have been better to ask for some smaller less
controversial decisions solving existing known init system related
problems (like logind), and once enough of those were decided, it
would probably be abundantly clear which default the init should
change to.

Instead, none of the important implementation related stuff has been discussed.
