I believe you are speaking about jonas, right ? Jonas is currently a member of
the kernel team, with svn access and everything.

I indeed did that in a moment of rage. The commit access was readded a few days
afterward, without anyone noticing, and it was an error of my part to do so,
but hardly led to consequence.

Notice though that there is no technical reason to remove the svn access. I
have never, even when i disagreed with the d-i team on technical things,
abused my commit rights.

So, if you want nothing to do with me, fine, i want nothing to do with you all
the same. That has nothing to do with you willingliy making it difficult for
me to contribute, in particular since my contributions have always been on
areas nobody was interested in fixing.

I remember you your own words, i don't remember when it was, but it was in
person, probably in extremadura. You said, about some random powerpc breakage :
"We don't do anything, because we know sven will fix them eventually".

This doesn't strike me as something you would say about someone who is not to
be thrusted with svn commit access.

And now the last point. Removing my svn commiut access was probably the
stupidess thing you could have done in this case. It hardly achieved any of
the goals you probably had with it, and if you had not done this, we would not
be having this problem, everything would be fine, and everyone would be
hacking in joy and fun.

Sure, i misbehaved, but it was a particular situation, and i personally asked
you to take this into account. You also misbehaved, and did so in full
knowledge, and with the agreement of other un-named members of the d-i team.

Also, i never heard you comment on the social and decency arguments ? I guess
everyone, you included, is too ashamed of your actions to comment on it ? And
this i believe is an almost unpardonable issue.

Friendly,

Sven Luther
