I've looked in to systemd-networkd in the stretch images, but haven't managed to get it to acquire a DHCPv6 lease. My current suspicion is that the AWS DHCPv6 server does't respond to "solicit" messages with the "rapid commit" flag set. Systemd-networkd seems to set that unconditionally, while dhclient does not set it. The presence of that option is the most notable difference I've found in the solicit messages from dhclient and systemd-networkd. Beyond that, I agree with the rest of Sam's concerns regarding systemd-networkd, and would prefer to come up with a solution involving dhclient if possible. noah
