Hey folks,
As discussed on the IRC channel, it would be great to organize a remote
Clojure Team sprint to work on a few things, namely leiningen and
clj/cli support.
Elana seemed to say sometime in May would work for her, so I'm
proposing
the following dates:
*Friday May 20th and Saturday May 21st*
I have a conflict on the 20th and 27th... perhaps we can do the 13-14th?
Once we've agreed on a date, I'll make a proper wiki page and ask the
DPL for a food budget.
I was thinking something like 3 meals per person for the sprint, with a
per person budget of 25 USD? If I am out of touch with the price of
take-out food in the US, I'll be happy to ask for more :)
There is a tool to estimate this! The US government (via the General
Services Administration) says $79 USD/day -> ~$25/meal for Seattle[1]
which is more in-line with what I've seen for food prices.
They have $117/day for Montreal[2]...
When I ran a BSP in NYC[3] 5 years ago, we had 6 attendees and I believe
I expensed around $350 USD for the half day event, which covered the
space rental and a food minimum. I think $100 USD/developer for a
two-day event would be reasonable -> $25/meal for 4 meals. IIRC that was
a standard travel budget number for events back when we used to travel.
