can you try to check if gstreamer1.0-libav gstreamer1.0-plugins-bad and
gstreamer1.0-plugins-ugly are installed? (are recommends in full cinamon
desktop environment install and totem, but if not installed in your
system try to install them)
from your tests and logs seems an issue related to them, gstreamer or totem
