Package: cinnamon-screensaver
Version: 3.8.2-1
Severity: wishlist

Hi.

The changelog entry for 3.8.0-1 mentiones:
  * don't install generated /etc/pam.d/cinnamon-screensaver
yet this file is not cleaned up from legacy installations.

Couldn't the package do this respectively shouldn't the file
be removed?

Thanks,
Chris.

The changelog entry is not particularly clear, but that entry refers to a reverted change, so basically, nothing changed in the uploaded packages regarding the pam.d files.

We are installing the pam rule maintained as part of the packaging (debian/cinnamon-screensaver.pam), this overrides the pam file shipped upstream, with 3.8.0 the upstream pam file was listed as not installed, added to be installed, and then removed.
