After installing all 4 Arphic fonts:
	tfm-arphic-{bkai00mp,gkai00mp,bsmi00lp,gbsn00lp)
	xfonts-arphic-{bkai00mp,gkai00mp,bsmi00lp,gbsn00lp)

read /usr/doc/cjk-latex/README.Debian, which says:

To check out the beautiful Arphic PL fonts, copy the file
   /usr/share/doc/cjk-latex/examples/Arphic_test.tex to a temporary
directory and process it with bg5latex. :-)

To view Arphic fonts under X, you can do something like:

	xlsfonts -fn -default-ming*

and then choose a font to view. E.g.

	xfd -fn "-default-ming-medium-r-normal--24-240-72-72-c-240-big5-0"
	xfd -fn "-default-kai-medium-r-normal--24-240-72-72-c-240-big5-0

Cheers,

Anthony
