Actually, the slices are for that exactly: People can use different
expression with slices!  I can't type Chinese at the moment, but let's
say we have a few different kind of English expression:

[SURFER:Yo, Debian is the coolest, dude!:][SIMPLE:Debian is great!:]\
[CANADIAN:Debian is the best, eh?:][CHEESY:Debian, I love you!:]

(assuming we have 4 different types of slices, SURFER, SIMPLE, CANADIAN
and CHEESY.)  The slices we currently have are simply: CN, TW and HK.

That means, slices are by no means restricted to short phrases.  It can be
used for whole sentences, or heck, an entire paragraph, or even an entire
page, or more.  :-)
