Did you use xcinterm-big5 to start xcin and crxvt?

Do you have an ancient copy of ~/.xcinrc or /etc/xcinrc that is causing
trouble?

Did you use Ctrl-Alt-1, Ctrl-Alt-2, etc. to switch input methods?

Thanks,

Anthony
