potato = stable
woody = testing
sid = unstable
woody (testing) 应该在二月左右会有越来越多新的软件。
testing 的意思，可以说是「永远稳定的测试版」，随时可以变为下一个 stable 版，
所以在 unstable 里的软件，确定没有重大的 bugs 后，才会慢慢进 testing。
暂时 woody (testing) 跟 potato (stable) 相差无几，所以我相信大部份的
Debian 开发人员都在用 unstable 开发。将来 testing 升至
glibc-2.2、XFree86-4.0.2 等后，说不定会有相当的开发人员转用 testing。
当然，Debian potato (stable) 上仍然有要修正的地方，所以也有不少开发人员
不时使用 potato 的机器制作 security fix 和 2.2r3 等。另外，重要的
Debian 服务器 （www.debian.org 等）会一直使用 stable 版。
