These alpha packages were installed into the Debian hierarchy in the
last week:

  * dh_compress: always compress changelog and upstream changelog, no

  * debian/control: depend on sgml-base now.


dpkg-cross - Tools for cross compiling Debian packages
dpkg-cross 0.3 -> 0.4 into hamm/hamm/binary-all/utils
dpkg-cross (0.4) unstable; urgency=low
  * Fixed bug in dpkg-cross that made it blind for packages with a '.' in
    their name...
  * dpkg-cross -h now the same as dpkg-cross --help.
  * New option -l/--list to dpkg-cross, with similar functionality to dpkg
    -l (short listing of packages installed matching a pattern)
  * dpkg-cross option --list renamed to --listfiles for consistency with
    dpkg


dpkg-repack - attempts to put an unpacked .deb file back together
dpkg-repack 0.8 -> 0.9 into hamm/hamm/binary-all/admin
dpkg-repack (0.9) unstable; urgency=low
  * Force the umask to 022 (#14516).
  * Use debhelper.
  * Be a bit more positive that the package will work in the description,
    since it seems to have worked pretty much ok for a year.


emacs      - The GNU Emacs editor.
emacs-el   - GNU Emacs LISP (.el) files.
emacs 19.34-11 -> 19.34-12 into hamm/hamm/binary-alpha/editors
emacs (19.34-12) unstable; urgency=low
  * changed paths in etc/emacs.1 to match debian config. [#4831]
  * added debian/menu with X11 and text entries. [#8382]
  * rebuilt with libc6.
  * do a configure before the distclean.


fvwm-common - Files shared between the fvwm, fvwm2 and fvwm95 packages
fvwm2      - F(?) Virtual Window Manager, version 2.

      12970, 11682, 12676, 12921, 12967 and 13577.  (Yes, really!)
  * patch to FvwmPager fixes problems with geometry spec overriding.
      Fixes Bugs 10330, 10535, 11051 and 11860.
  * new upstream release fixes Bug#11489: NoTitle and MiniIcon bad interaction.
  * FvwmIdent manpage fix: default background is white. Fixes Bug#11495.
  * incorporated RJK's fixes to fvwmrc_convert (as reported in Bug#10138).
  * fvwmrc_convert doesn't use gawk anymore. Fixes Bug#10140.
  * postinst and postrm add and remove fvwm2 from /etc/X11/window-managers.
      Fixes Bug#11484.
  * FvwmCpp now uses /lib/cpp for its cpp.  Fixes Bug#11051.
  * explicitly set PixmapPath and IconPath in Fvwm.tmpl since the imake
      defaults are no longer any good.
  * README.sysrc includes "hints and tips" section, with info on
      configuring your pager.


libcgi-perl - modules for perl5, for use in writing CGI scripts.

  * Data files now under /usr/lib/games instead of /usr/games/lib, as per
    FSSTND.  (Fixes bug #13501)
  * Note: The author's webpage says that version 2.0 is in the works,
    so it may be awhile before there is another upstream upgrade.


manpages-fr - French version of the manual pages.

  * Upstream upgrade.
  * Many new translation including pages from section 1.


miscfiles  - Dictionaries and other interesting files.

miscfiles (1.1-3) unstable; urgency=low
  * Make sure the copyright file is not compressed. closes:Bug#14495.
  * Do not install INSTALL into /usr/doc, since this only has generic
    installation instructions, and is irrelevant on Debian machines.
  * Added information to a previously empty README.debian
    file. closes:Bug#14130.


netbase    - Basic TCP/IP networking binaries
netbase 2.17-1 -> 3.00-1 into hamm/hamm/binary-alpha/net
netbase (3.00-1) unstable; urgency=low
  * /etc/services: added binkp, fido, tfido entries
  * /etc/init.d/netbase: enable IP spoofing protection if the kernel
                         has the IP firewall option enabled
  * netkit-base: ping glibc fixes
  * net-tools: glibc fixes
  * tcp_wrappers: added blacklist patch (if the host pattern starts
		  with a '/' characters it will be interpreted as
		  filename, this file can contain further host patterns).


pkg-order  - A Package dependency checker and install ordering tool
pkg-order 0.14 -> 0.15 into hamm/hamm/binary-all/misc
pkg-order (0.15) unstable; urgency=low
  * Make sure the copyright file is not compressed. closes:Bug#14482.
  * Looking whether a package was provided (as a regexp match) used to
    blow up on packages with strange non-alphanum in names (like
    libg++). Changed it to split the _Provided list into its parts and
    then look for an exact match of the package name. Suggested by Roman
    Hodek <rnhodek@faui22c.informatik.uni-erlangen.de>


psgml      - An Emacs major mode for editing SGML documents.
