slang0.99.34-dev 0.99.38-2.1 -> 0.99.38-2.4 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/devel
slang0.99.38 0.99.38-2.4 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/libs
slang0.99.34 0.99.38-2.1 -> 0.99.38-2.4 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/libs
slang0.99.38-dev 0.99.38-2.4 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/devel
slang (0.99.38-2.4) unstable; urgency=low (high for developers using S-lang)
  * For use in hamm. Thanks to David Engel and Chris Fearnley for their
    input.
  * Included "/etc/terminfo" in the terminfo search path (Terminfo_Dirs in
    src/sltermin.c).
  * Build both libc6 and libc5 compatibility packages from single source
    package.
  * Modified descriptions; hopefully, this will minimize confusion.
  * libc6 packages:
    * For running and building libc6 binaries (strongly preferred for hamm).
    * No backward compatibility links necessary.
    * Both the package names and the soname have been bumped to 38
      (there is no real "keeper of the so-name" for S-Lang yet; the upstream
      author is expected to take this role soon).
    * Thus, libc5 and libc6 S-Lang can be distinguished from the package
      names, making a 'g'-in-the-name hack unnecessary
    * -dev package provides virtual package 'slang-dev6' to allow the libc5
      and libc6 dev packages to be installed simultaneously.
  * libc5 packages:
    * For backward compatibility with Debian 1.3. Priority: extra, so these
      only get installed when needed or explicitly requested.
    * Uses "alt(dev)" locations: shared library in /usr/lib/libc5-compat,
      development stuff in /usr/i486-linuxlibc1/* .
    * Fixed "it now points to" message in postinst.
  * Linked libslang.so against libc too, just to be sure.

abuse 1.10-8 -> 2.00-1 into hamm/contrib/binary-i386/games
abuse (2.00-1) unstable; urgency=low
  * New upstream release - abuse source code is now available. (Yippe!!)
  * Abuse is now in the public domain; changed copyright file.
  * Rebuilt with libc6, no longer a.out format, fixes bug #4096
    (Currently linked against libc5 svgalib; needs to be recompiled sometime.)
  * This package no longer includes the abuse levels data, it is only the
    Abuse game engine. It recommends abuse-lib, so it stays in contrib for
    now.
  * Svgalib Abuse works again, added back into binary package.
  * Svgalib Abuse was _still_ vunarable to a $PATH security hole. Modified
    game.c to change the values of PATH, ABUSE_PATH, and ABUSE_SAVE_PATH,
    to fix this security hole.
  * Svga abuse doesn't work when run as a normal user, even when suid root.
    Until I can fix this, it will not appear on the debian menus, or be
    installed suid. Added a note to README.debian about this.
  * Renamed x11 abuse wrapper to /usr/games/abuse.x11R6 for consistency.
  * Updated package description.
  * Small changes for libc6.
  * Updated menu file to new format.

    spelling.
  * Corrected more references to /home/www-data/webspace to /var/www in

fakeroot 0.0-3 -> 0.0-4 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/devel
fakeroot (0.0-4) unstable; urgency=low
  * now also builds "tar" succesfully, this was done by fixing:
  * after a chdir (that the deamon doesnt follow), unlink and friends
    didn't work any more, causing 'interesting' results.
  * after a chown(file), fakeroot would report only the "fake"
    filesize (from the moment of the chown/chomd), not
    the "real" filesize.
  * also wrap "remove", "rmdir" functions.
  * Now I'm finally also wrapping "stat" (seems not to be used by
    any programmes, they all use eigher fstat or lstat).
  * As noted by a user, I left some debugging binaries (with "debugging"
    permission mods) in the source archive. Sorry, removed those.

fakeroot (0.0-6) unstable; urgency=low
  * fakeroot now returns correct exit status.
    (question from Andreas Jellinghaus <aj@dungeon.inka.de>).
  * fix bug where a chown(), chomd(), mknod() etc on "new" files
    (for fakeroot) would cause the data not touched by that specific
    function to be corrupt (also noticed by Andreas Jellinghaus
    <aj@dungeon.inka.de>).
  * unlinking of directories now happens when nlink==2, not==1.
  * work around "touch f; chmod 000 f; echo>f" problem (works for
    root, but not for user/fakeroot): a "chmod 000" call will
    be translated into "chmod 600 (or 700)" to the kernel (and thus
    the real filesystem), but the "fakedata" will record the 000
    permissions.
  * also wrap mkdir call, as that can create dirs with
    permission 000 too (thus unwritable, shows up in tar).
  * Prevent lost IPC messages causing havoc
    (losses were due to signals sent to process)
  * code-cleanups.
  * Added options:
     --lib library    location of libfakeroot.so.0.0
                     (make sure you specify a absolute path here).
     --mixedlibhack test for libc5 binaries, and remove LD_PRELOAD for them.
     --nomixedlibhack don't test for libc5 binaries (significantly faster).
  * Added a few autmatic tests for fakeroot.

jade 0.8-1 -> 0.8-2 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/text
jade (0.8-2) unstable; urgency=low
  * Makefile.jade: set SGML_CATALOG_FILES_DEFAULT to the debian value
    (/usr/lib/sgml/catalog, so that the relative names work, *not* the
    /etc/ version.)
  * debian/rules: install dsssl/catalog as dsssl.cat
  * debian/postinst, postrm: use jade-style md5 signatures, more advanced
    cleanup code.

libgdbm1-altdev 1.7.3-20 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/devel
libgdbm (1.7.3-20) unstable; urgency=low
  * Reorganize to build libgdbm1 for libc5 compatibility, and
    libgdbm1-altdev instead of libgdbm1-dev.
  * debian/control: name libgdbm1-altdev.
  * debian/rules: add -lc to the shared library so ld.so knows it uses
    libc5. Copy the shared libs into /usr/lib/libc5-compat explicitly,
    the static libs and headers into usr/i486-linuxlibc1/lib and include.
    No man pages in the altdev version (the libc6 dev version will have
    those.) Manually move shared libs into lib package, since debstd
    won't find them.
  * Makefile.in: drop tndbm, tdbm, since when we're bootstrapping the
    library there *aren't* native libs. (Should be tied into autoconf
    tests better.)

libgdbm1 1.7.3-21 -> 1.7.3-22 into hamm/hamm/binary-i386/base

  * debian/control: libgdbm1-altdev should depend on libc5-altdev, *not*
    libc5-dev.
  * debian/rules: put links for .so files in i486-linuxlibc1/lib so the
    compiler finds them, as well as the linker.
