Just so that we can avoid confusion, perhaps you would be kind enough to provide: The URL of the image and/or jigdo of the image(s) you are talking about (one example is fine, but if its easy for you to provide more, that would be great). Checksums for the .iso image(s) you have (so it is possible for us to be confident that the same image is being examined). The checksum you get from the .deb on the image. The checksum you were expecting to get. plus any other similar details that you think might help someone be sure that they are looking at the exact problem you are describing.
