No, that figure is still correct. You can even install on systems with as little as 24MB using the regular installer if you know what you're doing. But the *live CD* is NOT Debian Installer!!! The live CD does need a *lot* more memory than the regular installer and may also be using a different kernel. You may have better luck trying the regular installer. Note also that the live CD is (currently) not covered at all by the installation guide. Cheers, FJP
