First, please see if the erratum "i386: booting the installer may fail on 
some older systems" on [1] helps you.

If not, there is not much advice we can give, except to try some general 
kernel options such as:
- noapic
- noapic nolapic
- noacpi
- fb=false
Or combinations of those.
