Woody Net Install CD Hangs on Dell Laptop
I have recently downloaded the 31MB Woody net install cd
http://people.debian.org/~ieure/netinst/releases/20020626/
and want to install it on my Dell Inspiron 8000 laptop again. But for
some reason, the installer hangs. Never at any one specific spot. It
causes a full hang, where I must remove the battery and AC power to
power down the machine, pressing the power button or alt-ctl-del does
not do anything.
I remember using the last release of the woody netinstall cd to install
on this machine, and it worked. I've screwed up a couple things on my
laptop and want to reinstall, dont ask. =)
Any ideas? Is there anyway to get a debug screen during the install, or
even after it hangs?
Thanks in advance,
jeff
