am i allowed to put this observation into the sparc directory as a current
warning until its fixed ?

Hi,

Please be aware that the ISO image for Debian 2.2 (Potato) Rev0 for
SPARC is believed to have problems, specifically for booting/fresh
installs.  

Please do NOT download these cd images unless you can work around
the current problems and the ISO images are updated with a fix.
