OK, I _think_ that simply changing the line
cp -dpRs $MIRROR/dists ...
to
cp -pRs $MIRROR/dists
should fix things. I've tested it locally with a more convoluted set of
sym-links and all seems OK. It'll be in 1.05 tonight.
