So, vesa is working? What happens if you follow these steps:
1. startx
(starts up with vesa?)
2. exit back to console
3. kldload i915kms
(display turns black)
4. startx
(have to do this without looking)
Does that turn the display back on? Start up successfully but using the
unaccelerated vesa driver? Try to get the contents of /var/log/Xorg.0.log
