Might also just be some more of the libc/pthread/hangs that are slowly
going away due to the work of Robert but not gone yet in usntable. In
that case I'd try if a build with -j1 works for kfreebsd reliably and
downgrade this bug to whishlist (so the kludge stays documented and can
be removed later on).

It's not the only buildsystem hang I've seen recently (with waf, with
scons or with drake). Might still be a uniq issue worth fixing, haven't
looked enough myself, sorry.
