Dear Maintainer,

   * What led up to the situation?
    Installing from debian-13.0.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso, debian-13.0.0-amd64- netinst.iso or debian-13.1.0-amd64-DVD-1.iso

   * What exactly did you do (or not do) that was effective (or
     ineffective)?

Selecting Canadien Français as a keyboard layout returns an error

   * What was the outcome of this action?
Error message : a configuration step failed...Keyboard configuration

   * What outcome did you expect instead?
Installation continues without a hiccup :-)

I tested this on 3 computers (All Intels) and a VM with 2 different keyboards. It sucks because it f* up my gdm3 password (among other things)
