Comments/Problems:

Regarding the partitioning, during my first try I never could get the partition sizes to stick.
Subsequently, after starting over, I had no difficulty, so the problem likely was my inexperience
whether to type in 750, 750.0, 750MB or 750 MB. Perhaps the help screen could elaborate on this somewhat.

Prior to tryiing this installer, I had tried both Knoppix 3.4 and Libranet 2.8.1 (using the 2.6.x
kernel in each case). Neither recognized nor was able to partition my SATA drives. The problem seemed to
be with the Silicon Image SI3114 controller. But, this installer worked flawlessly with regard to the
SATA drives.

This first installation was just an experiment to see if everything was recognized and worked. I
plan on bootstrapping an AMD64 64bit install next.

When opening the dialog to create a new partition, the max size of the disk
is shown as default value (like "10.7 GB"), so that also shows the format.
That should be enough.
