I should be able to share a small(-ish) ISO for you to test, so that
you can check whether touchpad support becomes available. Same story
as before: that'd be just about booting the installer, reaching the
language selection screen, and letting us know whether the touchpad's
working.

Test ISO (without any firmware, just a fresh minimal installer build)
available here for you to check whether that helps the touchpad become
alive:

Tested and the touchpad is now functional. The pointer moves as expected. Tapping on the pad does not translate to mouse clicks, but the touchpad buttons work correctly.

Tap-to-click is a feature of the driver that I find annoying and normally leave off, but I'm not sure that should be the default for the installer. I have no real opinion on that, I just thought it was worth mentioning that it behaves that way.
