Bug#987377: rescue-mode: when in graphical mode, locks up one prompt before the shell

Must it really?

With a fresh install (with LVM but oh well), using netboot/gtk/mini.iso
from RC 1 gets me a shell into the installed system just fine if the
rescue mode is configured in French (habit letting me smoke test
translation related fun, in addition to getting me my usual layout)…

but that fails if I stick to English.

I've only started looking into it, but I thought I'd drop this quick
note without waiting. ;)

Cheers,
