I see the same problem.  Installing with debian-testing-amd64-netinst.iso
downloaded Aug 6
sha256 be87ec4061c24ea46de4943514c329e9c0843130237f13c4a5680b21ccd405d9

My “hardware” is an Oracle virtualbox 6.0 64-bit client, with host OS Debian Buster.

If I ask for “Guided - use entire disk and set up LVM” (i.e. don’t ask for encrypted disk) It all works fine.

What logs can I provide that will assist in tracking it down?
