I'm not able to install debian gnu/linux squeeze (as well as wheezy
snapshot aug 1, 2011) on a Dell Inspiron netbook as partition table is
not detected by debian installer. It shows the whole disk as Free
Space. I was able to install squeeze (when it was testing) on the same
system before. Now Windows 7 is installed on this system (this system
is used by my sister) and I cannot install debian gnu/linux anymore.
When I go to virtual console (Alt + F2) and do fdisk -l, it gives a
warning 'GPT (GUID Partition Table) detected on '/dev/sda'! The util
fdisk doesn't support GPT. Use GNU Parted'. What is the current status
of GPT support in debian installer?
