So you mean hostname actually is got from DHCP, so it's not broken here?
I tried d-i on my Linkstation with 2 different device, in 2 different
network (DHCP server), both of the final hostname are "debian", with
RAID name also "debian".

Exactly.
I think the problem I mentioned above is the same as his one.
