You aren't releasing images for this platform, no. But I am and there
are many people who actually want to use my image, I am not saying
it's a requirement for debian-installer, but it would be great if
we could improve sparc64 support in d-i.

I find this a bit rude, frankly. Why would you say other people don't
need sparc64 support when there are many people on the list who are
actually looking to install sparc64 on their machines but currently
can't because the installation still needs several manual steps
because d-i or its components are missing some pieces?
