So it sounds like you had:
- standard
- SSH server
- print server
> tmpfs tmpfs 102788 348 102440 1% /run

I'm surprised it took 1.8 GB.
I just performed an installation with standard + SSH server and I
have about 600 MB:
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/sda2 6.3G 617M 5.4G 11% /
