Most people did know that backports is/was in Jessie, but I think not
many people did know about this bug. People don´t search for bugs when
they don't have a problem with something...
Now there is no time for a discussion anymore!
And this was not a RC-bug.

I always enable backports on all machines I am responsible for, because I
use that repository.
Are all machines with backports enabled ticking timebombs?
No, but you have to know what you do.
