Bug#763505: debian-installer: Default numlock=on causes issues on keyboards without numpads

Package: debian-installer
Version: 20140802
Severity: normal

Dear Maintainer,

It appears that the console installer for jessie sets numlock to enabled
on all of the ttys. This causes a usability issue with smaller US keyboards
that have their "numpad" overlayed with the 789-iuo-jkl-m keys. Numlock must
be disabled on each tty that is used during the install process.

I can see why someone would want numlock enabled by default with a larger
keyboard but it causes confusion with a smaller one. Could you please roll
back this change?

Thanks,
Henry
