Bug#681964: tasksel: kde task brings in synaptic
Package: tasksel
Version: 3.10
Severity: normal
Dear Maintainer,
Ever since tasksel 3.10, installation of the kde desktop task brings in
synaptic. given that it sticks out visually like a sore thumb and that
there is alternatives available actually doing a integrated job, it
would be much preferred to have that available.
A much better integrated solution for wheezy would be 'apper'.
While apper has some drawbacks in a few cases, it is overall givings a
better experience for most of the cases.
and a side effect is that only the installation bits is run as root,
whereas the gui is run as user.
