Package: debian-installer
Severity: critical
Justification: breaks the whole system

Hi,

I just tried out the debian-installer netinst image from July 12, 2004
(test candidate 1). The initial setup worked fine, went through the
partitioning etc all went smooth. When prompted for the intial reboot
(grub was written to the master boot record) grub stage 1.5 comes up and
pauses for a short while, followed by grub loading, please wait, which
goes on for a very long time, which is followed by Error #25.

The test machine was an AMD K6/2 350Mhz, with 320MB of RAM, Western
Digital 8.4GB HD, don't quite know the exact motherboard model off hand,
though it was an MSI board with an ALI chipset.

A lot as changed and have been improved in the debian installer, and now the
current release it's Debian 6.0 'Squeeze' [1].
I am closing this report as this version of the debian installer is not
developed anymore and from the installer reports we receive i believe this
issue was solved long ago.
Please report any issues against current debian installer release.
