No, my plan was to not ask any questions at all. The decision whether to
load the vlan stuff would be based on the format of choose_interface. If
the interface name matches one of the vlan naming schemes (e.g. eth0.5 or
vlan5), then load/configure it that way.

Ah, I already read that. I was not aware that you talk about this writeup.

That's right. But only for netinstall. What about supporting vlan only with
CD installation?

BTW: all the needed bits are on the install CD anyway (in the ordinary
packages). Why not extract them from the ordinary packages instead of
duplicating them by creating special udebs?
