average debian install.but took WAY less time to boot up and setup after.Unlike most other linux flavours, bonding 2 ethernet interfaces, worked straight out the box, without a hitch.ISC-DHCP3 server package installed on a different location as expected, and was not functional, compiled latest source download and, re-installed with make install.Allthough the configuration files ended up in the same unexpected location, the compiled version did function propperly.(With configuration files still in the "wrong" location however, I ended up needing to change the module settings/locations in webmin in order to make it compatible.)At a later stage noticed loads of patches / other versions of the package. decided to uninstall the compiled version, and re-intalled ISC-DHCP3 server package the apt-get way, this time webmin picked it up instantly. problem seem to be solved. For a average experienced installer/user a pleasant install/setup. finally a decent current / up-to-date release of debian.fast breakdown:-Better (less) resource consumption.
-Better reaction speeds.-Faster/better overal experience(maybe just a gut feeling, but this version of debian seems not to be struggling with my system, as previous versions seemed to be. Reviewing the overal experience, trust in reliability is important and weighs heavy in my judgement, afterall debian sets a certain standard, as loads of other personal favorite flavours (distributions) of linux are based on debian)-Weird location/error with ISC-DHCP3 server package, although some hitches/problems were expected!

Given that your installation was a complete success, I do as usual with reports for successful installations: I close the bug..:-) This does not of course mean you weren't right to report. Knowing the installations are correct is important for the d-i team. Many thanks for your time testing the Debian Installer and reporting your results. Have fun with your new Debian system!Attachment: signature.asc
