OK. That excludes a known issue. It could still be a missing kernel module,
but that seems unlikely. Not sure what else it could be though. AFAIK USB
keyboards in general work fine.
Please file a BR against debian-installer so we can track this properly and
include answers for the following questions.
* What is the USB ID for the keyboard?
* Did you try both the regular and the graphical installer? If not, please
do so. It could be that one or the other does work as they use somewhat
different mechanisms.
* If the keyboard does work with the graphical installer, then please check
if it also works after switching to VT2 or VT3.
* Do you have a different USB keyboard you can try with that machine? If
so, does that work or not?
* Can you connect a PS/2 keyboard and use that for the installation? If so,
complete the installation and check if the keyboard does work with the
installed system. If it does, a comparison of lsmod between the installer
and the installed system should help.
* If you cannot find a working keyboard, then possibly a fully preseeded
installation could be done. After completing that, check if the keyboard
does work with the installed system.
